This cutting-edge tool combines advanced radar technology with the principle of guided wave propagation to provide an accurate and non-intrusive method of measuring the level of liquids and solids in a variety of vessels and pipelines. So how does the radar level gauge work? It all starts with high-frequency microwave pulses emitted by the device and guided along a detection component, which can be a steel cable or rod, depending on your specific needs. As the pulse propagates toward the medium under test, it encounters any changes in the surrounding dielectric constant and some of the pulse energy is reflected back.

By measuring the time interval between the transmitted pulse and the reflected pulse, the radar level gauge can accurately determine the distance of the measured medium and provide you with a real-time level reading. This information can be displayed on a digital screen, transmitted wirelessly to your computer or smartphone, or integrated with your existing control system for process automation.
